Another Verona Day
Another Verona day here. Spring has sprung. Sunny and blue skies. Morning brew with my old friend, Verona with Room (half n' half) plus Raw Sugar. Coffee is great. Just the fuel I need.

Time Away
We had an awesome family time away. We were in the country ya'll. So what does Starbucks Mom do when we're out with our people ya'll? One pound of "Breakfast Blend" did the trick. And our people thought we had hung the Moon.

Mountain Man, The Buck-A-Roos and I are off to the Hills
...Mountain Man is happy the steeper the mountains get. Carolina Mama is happy when I discover the perfect stop for a Grande Honey Latte 170 degrees with extra foam. mmmmmmmmmmmmm the makings of a perfect roadtrip.
I have a hunch the Buck-A-Roos will be ordering a repeat of their Friday after school snack - yesterday - it was Organic Boxed Apple Juice and Molasses Cookies. Life is good for little first graders and their Starbucks Mom. Have a great one!

Starbucks Custom Cards
Have you made your Starbucks Custom Card? It's fun. I've made several. :) And it's a good time to use them and to give as gifts. One of my favorite is my Custom Card with the Pink background with my Grande Verona with Room, and my name is Starbucks Mom and her Buck-A-Roos. Every Barista that I pay l.o.v.e.s it! As do I. And my Buck-A-Roos, they think it's theirs. So go have fun and get creative. Now, while you're at it, go ahead and order the cute Pike Place Card, the new retro look. That's my next one. Ohh, this is cool!
Did I mention how fun it is to just give them my card without looking for cash, coins, and the like! And you can upload at any time you wish. I've done that toO!

Starbucks Twins Mom in the Early Days
May I just take a walk in time and tell you about the early days. I have been a Starbucks girl for a long time about as long I can remember in my adult life. Before that, it was Cafe Au Lait from the original Cafe Du Monde, New Orleans. It may seem unthinkable for a local girl to venture out of her Chickory comfort zone. It happened ya'll. And it happened in the best way possible when I discovered Starbucks some 17 years ago.
Flash forward to 2000, the heavens smiled upon me when my expectant tummy turned her smiling face on any form of coffee. Thankfully because my plan was to abandon her for 'the sake of the children.' It didn't take long after the Buck-A-Roos were born for me to find my friend, Grande Columbia with Cream again.
It was a different day back then. Ya'll moms just weren't in the Starbucks. Even in L.A. So here I was Southern Starbucks Mom and her Buck-A-Roos making my way to any and every Starbucks that was available at that time. It was tricky then, I was slip in order up my needed latte of the day or what have you. Then out would come the sippy cups with apple juice, and a great book or toy. I felt like I was slipping into a bar - well, I was. The best coffee bar there was. And it was worth every second it took me to wiggle my double stroller into the front door. Of course, there were plenty time when the many business men and women would lend me a hand and a knowing look - "we know what mom needs, too, to get through the day."
It was nice. They were really saying, "Even though you are carrying the latest diaper bag sans latest Apple Air Notebooks (oh those weren't there yet), are in your running shoes instead of high heels, we know it's all good for all of us!"
And that is how Starbucks Mom made it through the early days. The Buck-A-Roos are seven now and they open the door for Starbucks Mom, they grab their Organic Chocolate Milk, and the Uno Game and I hand them my custom made Starbucks Card that reads Starbucks Mom and Her Buck-A-Roos and life is good....
p.s. Custom Made Starbucks Cards are awesome. Go to: Starbucks.com and get you one!

Pike Place Goodness
Hey ya'll check out this link. Click the little "x" (and refrain from laughing at my Mr. Linky "Skills" afterall, we do want to give Yahoo! and the AP their credit due for the great pics!) and see the new thing going on at your local Starbucks. Of course, knowing most of you are like me, you found out first hand on April 8th when you strolled in or drove through to order your own. Voila! The beauty of the new cup and Pike Place and all that great history all in one fine cup. Let me know how you like it and your own thoughts. I'm digging it as usual. And I'll always be true to the black and green. OK, go click here:

After all these years Cir. 1971
After all these years, Starbucks Mom is getting a new cup for my morning joe along with the rest of the world.... Ok, all things authentic, I have to reveal through my sheer excitement for the new look this am, I can't post a picture because we're in the midst of a computer upgrade. And that means I am blogging from my local library with so many things disabled and restricted well, I don't feel like my usual blogging mom self without say the NEW Starbucks Cup to give you a visual.
It'll be up soon. And you can always go to: www.starbucks.com for the action accurate as it comes.
In honor of the celebration, I had a Pikes Peak Blend this am in my new Starbucks image cup. Pikes Peak was the original store in 1971. Well, I have been on board for a full seventeen years which I was really happy about until I realized they've been in full swing since '71. And before I go, the Marble Loaf tastes lovely along with the Pikes Peak blend. ;) And ya'll, the Buck-A-Roos find it yummy as well.

Starbucks Oh Starbucks
Starbucks Oh Starbucks. Has it been a quite week or what. Well, it has been a tasty week as always. Maybe my blog reflects my drink choices this week. It's been a Tazo Calm Tea week here and I love it. Of course, yesterday, I nursed my Venti House Half n' Half and Raw Sugar from 11am to 4pm. Delightful. I did have to guzzle up on my water intake to make up for my happiness.
The Buck-A-Roos bode well on Spring Break. Boxed juices and all. Nothing new in their little ordering world. Unless Starbucks Mom left it up to them and they'd order the house.
Nationally, can I just say how did something so great get so better. Starbucks goes the extra mile again, they're grinding every day, every bean in every store. That's awesome. I didn't know it could get better than this.
